CPO Export Fiasco: Who Else Will Be Dragged Down?

The Attorney General's Office keeps investigating the alleged graft case on the provision of crude palm oil (CPO) export permits from the Trade Ministry to several producers. On April 20, the investigation team questioned three witnesses, namely Trade Ministry's director of agricultural and forestry product exports Farid Amir, PT Incasi Raya Airton sales manager Andi Anggriawan, and PT Synergy Oil Nusantara supply chain manager Bambang Rukyanto.
Attorney General's Office spokesperson Ketut Sumedana said they were questioned by investigating prosecutors at the Directorate of Investigation of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. "Investigating witnesses is necessary to collect more evidence and complete the corruption case filing on the issuance of CPO export facilities from January 2021 to March 2022," he elaborated.
