TBS Energi Utama Operates Sulbagut-1 Coal Power Plant

PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) officially operates the Sulbagut-1 Coal-fired Power Plant (PLTU) in North Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province. TOBA subsidiary PT Gorontalo Listrik Perdana is the independent power producer (IPP), operating the 2x50 megawatts (MW) coal-fired power plant.

"Based on PLN's letter dated April 13, the commercial operation date specified is December 31, 2021," TOBA management said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday.

The company ensures that there will be no impact from the COD for PLTU Sulbagut-1 on their operational, legal, financial conditions, or business continuity activities. "It will not affect the operational activities currently running, and it will strengthen the financial condition and business continuity in the long run," TBS Energi Utama stated in a letter signed by directors Alvin F. Sunanda and Teguh Alamsyah.
