Summary

Aldmic, a digital voucher aggregator in Indonesia, has completed a Series A funding round led by a South Korean e-voucher provider, COOP Marketing, in an undisclosed deal. The company has also been collaborating with Samsung since 2015. Korea IT Times reported that COOP Marketing acquired a majority stake in Aldmic in March 2021, and this year, COOP officially launched a mobile gifting service in Indonesia called Pay's Gift. It allows users to purchase digital vouchers and send them as gifts to friends or family.

"Going forward, we seek to expand the reach and specialization of Pay's Gift by increasing the number of merchant-partners on the platform. Not only in terms of numbers, but we also want to work with more local brands in each city," Aldmic COOPN Digital CEO Willy Thomas revealed in a press statement on Thursday. Currently, 70 brands are selling their products in the Pay's Gift app. By the end of this year, Aldmic aims to increase the number of merchants to 100 brands.
