20 Investors Ready to Invest in the New Capital City: IKN Head
The government seeks investors to finance and develop the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara. Head of the IKN Nusantara Authority, Bambang Susantono, said 20 investors are interested in joining the new capital city development. According to him, these investors have diverse investments scales. "There are very large ones such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, but there are also small-scale ones who only want to build certain projects," Bambang said as quoted by CNN Indonesia, Thursday.
Although they lack in dealing with some, they are still exploring; Bambang admitted that there had been talks about the specific project they want to build. One of them, he said, was an investor who wanted to build a clean water channel through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. "Some want to build only renewable energy or those who just want to develop a smart city," he said, adding that it is only natural that there will be parties who step down like Softbank later.
