Medco Power and PLN Sign PPA for Solar Plants in Bali

Summary

Medco Power Indonesia will soon build a solar power plant (PLTS) in Bali, following the signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PT PLN on March 24. The signing coincided with the Energy Transitions Working Group (ETWG) 1 as part of Indonesia's G20 Presidency in Yogyakarta.

PT Medco Solar Bali Barat and PT Medco Solar Bali Timur represented Medco Power in signing the contract. Each of them will erect a 25-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar plant. Previously, Medco Power expected the construction of both plants to be finished by 2022, but now they would be commercially operational by the end of 2023.
