Logistics company PT SiCepat Ekspres Indonesia or SiCepat Ekspres is reportedly laying off its delivery couriers. This news emerged from several Twitter accounts claiming to be former SiCepat employees. "SiCepat is carrying out a wave of mass layoffs. There are around 365 couriers who have been fired, but they have been forced to sign resignation letters," account @arifnovianto_id wrote on Twitter, March 12.

SiCepat management has not provided a detailed explanation over this matter. "Currently, we are discussing this issue in management. Please wait for our information," SiCepat Ekspres Corporate Communication team said in a statement. In mid-February, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communication Officer of SiCepat Ekspres Wiwin Dewi Herawati noted that her company is expanding its delivery network. "We are also improving operational systems and taking advantage of system digitization," she said.
