Quipster, the Heavy Equipment Game Changer

Transportation fleet management startup Webtrace has decided to merge with app-based heavy equipment rental TraktorHub and formed a new entity called Quipster. Deal Street Asia reported on March 7 that Webtrace co-founders Erwin Subroto and Denny Tijioe would become Quipster Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively. Meanwhile, TraktorHub co-founder David Hartono would be the company's Chief Operating Officer.
Erwin revealed that Webtrace and TraktorHub's investor, namely PT Prasetia Dwidharma, encouraged the merger deal. The telecommunications infrastructure and information technology company triggered discussions between Webtrace and TraktorHub, prompting the creation of Quipster. Once the merger process is complete, Quipster will raise money through a pre-Series A funding round later this year.
