Indonesians Consider Buying Electric Vehicles in 5 Years: Survey
The electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia will continue to grow. A recent Populix survey entitled "Indonesian Modern Consumption" shows that although only a small proportion of Indonesians currently own electric vehicles, this trend will increase in the next few years.
"More than half of the respondents are considering buying an electric vehicle. In fact, a third of the respondents are already planning to buy an electric vehicle in the next five years," Timothy Astandu, Populix Chief Executive Officer, said in a press release on Wednesday. The Populix survey reveals that 29 percent of respondents already plan to buy an electric motorcycle and 31 percent of respondents plan to buy an electric car in the next five years.
