KUFPEC Discovers New Oil and Gas Reserves in Natuna

KUFPEC Indonesia (Anambas) B.V. has recently discovered oil and gas reserves in the Anambas Block, Natuna Sea. Upstream Oil and Gas Special Regulatory Task Force's (SKK Migas) Deputy for Planning Benny Lubiantara confirmed that the discovery of oil and gas reserves by the Kuwaiti oil and gas company was the result of drill stem tests in the Anambas-2X exploration well.

"This discovery shows that the oil and gas potential in Indonesia is still promising. KUFPEC Indonesia's oil and gas reserves discovery is the second in 2022. In January 2022, new oil and gas reserves have also been discovered in the Mahakam Block by another oil and gas contractor [PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam]," Benny elaborated.
