inDriver Challenges Grab and Gojek in Intercity Service
An online transportation company from Russia, inDriver, has officially launched inDriver Antarkota, a ride-hailing service for Jakarta-bound trips. Users in Jakarta wanting to go to nearby cities, such as Bogor, Bandung, Sukabumi, Cirebon, and Serang, can now order a ride using the service.
Oleg Serkin, Head of the inDriver Antarkota Division, claimed that the feature offers efficiencies because users could save not only costs but also choose their preferred vehicle, time, pick-up location, and destination. "Users can also choose the ride option, from carpool (sharing vehicles with other people) so that the travel cost is more efficient or private (vehicles for themselves). We aim to expand this new service in other big cities in Indonesia this year," he explained in a press release on Wednesday.
