Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif and Singapore's Second Minister of Trade and Industry Tan See Leng signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the energy cooperation.

Arifin said the MoU for the energy cooperation stipulates several areas, including developing new and renewable energy (NRE) such as solar and hydrogen-fired power plants, cross-border electricity interconnection and regional electricity networks, energy trade, energy projects financing, and HR capacity building.

The signing is of the deliverables at the Leaders Retreat meeting between Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on January 25, 2022, in Bintan.
