oil and gas exploration
Summary

The Upstream Oil and Gas Business Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) revealed that only two PT Pertamina's subsidiaries had fulfilled oil lifting targets: PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) and PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga. Meanwhile, the others, including PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), PT Pertamina EP, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi ONWJ Ltd, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi OSES, and PT Pertamina Hulu East Kalimantan, did not reach the target.

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita said the COVID-19 pandemic, the natural production decline, and increasingly complex operations posed challenges to the overall oil and gas production and lifting in each field. "However, Pertamina Group keeps having any necessary mitigations by conducting operational excellence to support national energy security and contribute optimally in achieving the national production target of 1 million bopd [barrel oil per day] and 12 bscfd [billion standard cubic feet per day])," he told Katadata.co.id on Thursday.
