Working Committee to Rework Capital City Bill

Reviewing documents
Summary

Discussions on the Capital City Bill (RUU IKN) by the House of Representatives (DPR) did not go well. The bill's special committee (Pansus) returned several materials to the working committee as the house's team dealing with the problem inventory list (DIM). "From the drafting team's report, there is still a list that is substantive and has been returned to the Panja," Deputy Chair of the Special Committee for the Capital City Bill Saan Mustopa said on Thursday.

The special committee previously agreed that the drafting team would continue the discussion. However, if there is any problematic or unfinished material, the bill will be returned to the working committee level. A total of seven factions of the DPR and representatives from the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) agreed that the deliberation team would carry out the discussion. Meanwhile, two DPR factions, the Democratic Party and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), wanted it to be handled by the working committee.
