East Ventures, Saratoga Led Xurya Daya’s US$21.5 Mln Funding Round
Renewable energy startup PT Xurya Daya Indonesia has pocketed US$21.5 million in a Series A funding round led by venture capital firm East Ventures and PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk aside from existing investors such as Schneider Electric and New Energy Nexus Indonesia. Xurya Daya will use the funds to continue rooftop solar power plant (PLTS) construction which has tripled in 2021.
"We appreciate the support and trust given by investors, partners, and customers to help us accelerate the transition to new renewable energy in Indonesia since Xurya's establishment three years ago," Eka Himawan, the Managing Director of Xurya Daya Indonesia, stated in a press release on Wednesday. Xurya will also focus on developing the technology and human resources, allowing the company to realize the clean energy transition as soon as possible.
