MDI Ventures Adds Zenlayer into Portfolios

Zenlayer, a cloud service provider focused on enhancing real-time digital experiences in emerging markets, announced the closing of its latest funding round from MDI Ventures, Telkom Group's investment arm. The additional funding brings Zenlayer's total Series C funding to over US$62 million.

"This strategic investment will strengthen Zenlayer's position as the cloud provider of choice in Indonesia and the region," Joe Zhu, CEO & Founder of Zenlayer, said in a statement. Zenlayer already has 16 interconnected PoPs (points of presence) in Indonesia and an additional 150 PoPs in the Asia Pacific (APAC).

"We invested in Zenlayer for its explosive growth potential. In the last six months, the company expanded its infrastructure and global workforce by 25 percent," CEO of MDI Ventures Donald Wihardja said.
