Chinese Investor Eyes North Bali Airport Project

China Construction First Group Ltd (CCFG) will work on an international airport project in North Bali as the main contractor with PT Bandara Internasional Bali Utara (BIBU) Panji Sakti and provide funding with a turnkey scheme. Both companies signed a final memorandum of understanding at the end of 2021. "This [signing] is to strengthen cooperation commitment as well as renew the memorandum of understanding that we signed on August 7, 2020," BIBU President Director Erwanto Adiatmoko explained on Wednesday.

BIBU and CCFG will build an international airport in the coastal area of Kubutambahan, Buleleng, Bali, in accordance with the Bali Provincial Regulation No. 3/2020 on Regional Spatial Planning. "We are ready to help realize the airport that North Bali residents dream of," CCFG Chief Representative for Indonesia Sun Kelin assured.
