Board of Commissioner Nominates Willix Halim as CEO of Bukalapak

The Board of Commissioners of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) proposed on Wednesday the nomination of Willix Halim as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Rachmat Kaimuddin, who resigned on December 28, 2021. Commissioners also nominated Victor Putra Lesmana and Howard Nugraha Gani to join the ranks of the Board of Directors. Meanwhile, Teddy Nuryanto Oetomo and Natalia Firmansyah will continue to serve as directors of Bukalapak. Furthermore, the proposed nomination will be submitted for approval by the shareholders through the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSL), conducted under the prevailing laws and regulations.

Previously, Rachmat Kaimuddin resigned and decided to serve the country. Since January 3, 2022, Rachmat has officially entered the government and began carrying out his duties as Special Advisor for Sustainable Technology Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment. Before the call of duty as a civil servant, Rachmat has succeeded in bringing Bukalapak to become the first unicorn listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), gaining Rp 21,9 trillion valuations after the initial public offering (IPO), also the largest IPO in IDX history.
