Pertamina NRE and RusHydro Team Up to Develop Hydropower

Pertamina NRE and RusHydro, a Russian energy company, have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop hydropower plants (PLTA) in Indonesia on Thursday. Such collaboration aims to optimize the use of Indonesia's massive hydro energy potential. Pertamina NRE Chief Executive Officer Dannif Danusaputro revealed that both companies' approaches in the energy transition were similar, providing cleaner energy.

It can hopefully help meet the national energy mix target in which the renewables portion reaches 23 percent by 2025," D" nnif said. The collaboration with RusHydro covers not only hydropower development but also other renewable energy potentials in Indonesia.
