Chief Executives Officer (CEO) of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) Rachmat Kaimuddin submitted his resignation letter on December 28, according to Bukalapak's disclosure filing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday.

"The company has received a letter of resignation from Mr. Muhammad Rachmat Kaimuddin as the Company's President Director," Bukalapak's Corporate Secretary Perdana A Saputro said, as quoted from the disclosure. VP of Corporate Secretary of Bukalapak Perdana Arning Saputro (Deno) said that Rachmat plans to serve the country by working for the government.

Bukalapak then appointed Willix Halim as Acting President Director. Willix will serve during the transition period until the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, which ratifies and confirms Rachmat Kaimuddin's resignation as the Company's President Director and appoints his successor. Meanwhile, Teddy Oetomo and Natalia Firmansyah will continue to serve as directors.

Willix joined Bukalapak as Chief Operating Officer of Bukalapak in 2016, after serving as Senior Vice President Growth for Freelancer.com, one of Australia's most prominent startups. Willix earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mechatronics with First Class Honors in 2009 from the University of Melbourne.
