AstraPay's Meliza Rusli to Join PermataBank’s Board of Directors

Meliza Musa Rusli, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AstraPay - a fintech company of Indonesian Astra Group - has been appointed by Bangkok Bank - the controlling shareholder of Permata Bank - to occupy the position of Deputy President Director at PermataBank. According to a D-Insights source in the banking industry, the Thai fintech lender will ask the approval from the General Meeting of Shareholders for the new member of the board of directors.
We also reached Richele Maramis, PermataBank's Head of Corporate Affairs, to confirm this news. "As a public company, all information disclosures will be provided in accordance with applicable regulations and at a predetermined time," Maramis said to D-Insights last November. Based on the information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on December 13, Bank Permata planned to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) on January 25, 2022. However, the company still has not included the agenda for the RUPSLB. The invitation for the meeting to shareholders will be further announced on December 27 through the IDX website, the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), and the Bank Permata website.
