Darmawan Prasodjo Officially Replaces Zulkifli Zaini to Lead PLN

The Indonesian Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs/BUMN) has reshuffled the management of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). President Director Zulkifli Zaini was replaced by Darmawan Prasodjo, who was previously served as PLN Deputy President Director. The reshuffle of this state-owned electricity company's directors was carried out through the general meeting of shareholders (RUPS), attended by the SOEs Minister and Deputy Minister, Deputy Ministry of SOEs, PLN Commissioners, and all PLN Directors.

SOEs Minister Erick Thohir expressed his gratitude to Zulkifli Zaini for the commitments that have been given during his service. Erick said that under Zulkifli Zaini's leadership for two years, PLN had improved its financial performance and managed to record operating revenues of Rp 345.4 trillion, and achieved a net profit of Rp 5.99 trillion in 2020. The profit increased 39.3 percent compared to 2019. PLN also managed to reduce the amount of its debt to Rp 452.4 trillion.
