Summary

The House of Representatives' (DPR) finance commission approved Juda Agung and Aida Budiman as the newest Deputy Governors of Bank Indonesia (BI) after both of them completed a series of tests on Tuesday. All members of the House's Finance Commission from various factions agreed that both of them would be worthy successors of the current Deputy Governors. Juda, who currently serves as assistant governor at BI's macroprudential policy department, will replace Sugeng. Meanwhile, Aida, who currently serves as assistant governor at BI's economic and monetary policy department, will succeed Rosmaya Hadi. Sugeng and Rosmaya's term of office will end on January 6, 2022.
