Xurya Daya Works on 300-MW Rooftop Solar Plant Project
PT Xurya Daya Indonesia, a renewable energy startup, has confirmed the plan to construct rooftop solar power plants (PLTS) of up to 300 megawatts (MW) over the next three years. Philip Effendy, Xurya Daya Indonesia Vice President of Operations, revealed that the company would develop them across the country. For this year, Xurya is working on 87 rooftop solar plant projects. Its total installed capacity is eight times higher than that of last year.
In each project, Xurya will involve various parties, such as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or green partners. "Currently, we have collaborated with more than 25 EPC contractors, both inside and outside Java Island, and this number will keep growing, considering the potential for rooftop solar PV in Indonesia is very massive and spreads across various regions," Philip elaborated in a written statement on Thursday.
