PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk is very interested in renewables projects that will be offered by PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) in 2022. "We are very interested. Business players' request is very simple: give us a return slightly above the cost of capital, and we will gladly invest," Medco Energi President Director Hilmi Panigoro said on Tuesday.

However, Hilmi was reluctant to disclose which projects Medco was targeting. One thing for sure is that renewable projects in the future can lead to more competitive electricity prices. Besides, there are many offers of green funding facilities. "There are so many green funds that are very cheap in price," he said.
