The government extended the Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) outside Java-Bali through December 6, 2021. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that there are no regions that fall in PPKM Level 3 and Level 4. Seven provinces are in PPKM Level 1, while 20 provinces are at Level 2. "This is based on an assessment on community transmission and response capacity," Airlangga said on Monday.

With these indicators, the government claims that COVID-19 outside Java-Bali is under control. Even so, Airlangga said several regions still saw an increase in COVID-19 cases, including East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, and Southeast Sulawesi. "But all of them are still in the same [assessment] level, there is no increase in [PPKM] level," he said.
