China CNGR Step Up Its Game in Indonesian Nickel Smelter

Chinese battery materials producer CNGR Advanced Material Co, cooperating with its Singapore-based partner Rigqueza International, has announced an additional investment of $330 million in its nickel matte project in Indonesia. The company disclosed the plan in a filing to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Wednesday. 

According to the filing, CNGR will use the additional funding in the nickel matte project's second phase, and the total production capacity for the project's two phases will then increase to 60,000 tons. The smelting project in Tsingshan's industrial park on Sulawesi's Indonesian island is called PT ZhongTsing New Energy.
