Moeldoko's Camp Faces another Dead End
The Supreme Court (MA) has rejected the judicial review of the Democrat Party's Articles of Association/Budgets (AD/ART) led by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as the general chairman. The lawsuit with case number 39 P/HUM/2021 was filed by Muhammad Isnaini Widodo, former Chair of the Democratic Party in Ngawi, East Java, affiliated with the Moeldoko camp.
The Supreme Court's website stated that Chief Justice Supandi, supported by Judge Is Sudaryono and Judge Yodi Martono Wahyunadi, believed that the petition was unacceptable. The reason is that the object of the petition is not qualified according to several regulations, such as Law (UU) No. 2/2011 on political parties, Law No. 15/2019 concerning the Establishment of Legislation, and the Articles of Association of the Democratic Party of 2015. "The Supreme Court has no authority to examine, try and decide on the object of the application because these articles do not meet the elements as statutory regulations," stated the Supreme Court's decision, accessed on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
