PGN Plans to Convert Arun LNG Tanks into Asian LNG Hub

LNG Tanker and Terminal
Summary

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), Indonesia's state-owned utility company, is trying to promote Arun Refinery's liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanks to become the Asian LNG hub. In the early stage, PGN, through its affiliated company, asked PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG), shall ship several LNG cargoes to international markets. The first shipment was carried out in January and on October 28. PAG president director Arif Widod said that, up until now, the company had been successful in unloading and reloading numerous LNG cargoes belonging to various parties.

He explained that PAG planned to develop the business by maximizing the use of four LNG tanks with a total capacity of 508,000 cubics or about 127,000 cubic meters each. "It will be one of Perta Arun Gas's excellent milestones in expanding the global market network and increasing the company's value," he explained on Saturday.
