President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, on Thursday, inaugurated PT Jhonlin Agro Raya biodiesel factory in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan. The 1,500 tons per day factory finished its two years of construction, costing Rp 2 trillion in investment. The biodiesel factory owned by entrepreneur Syamsudin Andi Arsyad, or Haji Isam, is located in a ​​730 hectares industrial estate.

Jokowi appreciates the Jhonlin Group's efforts to convert crude palm oil (CPO) into biodiesel 30 (B30). The factory will provide significant added value and produce derivative products from CPO. "We hope that other companies will start downstream processing and industrializing their CPO," Jokowi said.
