Chinese Investor Forays in Transit-Oriented Development Project

China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corporation (CR20G) will work on a residential project with transit-oriented development (TOD) on the Jakarta light rail transit (LRT) line. The China-based company will partner with PT Adhi Commuter Properti, a PT Adhi Karya Tbk subsidiary, to develop the TOD. Adhi Commuter Properti President Director Rizkan Firman said that the projects are located in the LRT City Tebet, LRT City Cikunir, LRT City Bekasi-Green Avenue, Adhi City Sentul, and LRT City Cibubur.

Adhi Commuter Properti Corporate Secretary Adi Sampurno said the collaboration would develop TOD housing at affordable prices for millennials. "The TOD concept provides advantages as a form of planning and design strategy to achieve integrated urban development," Adi said on Thursday. However, both companies have yet to determine the cooperation scheme and a definitive agreement.
