MNC Land to Build Data Center in Lido City

MNC Group plans to establish a data center business in Lido City, West Java. PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG), through its subsidiary PT MNC Land Lido, signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Infokom Elektrindo to develop an integrated infrastructure and high-tech ecosystem in the Lido City. Infokom will provide the city's infrastructure, including the core information technology infrastructure, internet backbone, fiber-optic network, and data center. "In Indonesia, almost all business processes are undergoing rapid technological transformations that require huge digital data storage. The digital system adoption has proven to be more secure, effective, and efficient," MNC Land head of Investor Relations Natassha Yunita argued in a written statement on Monday.

MNC Investama President Director Darma Putra revealed that the parent company of MNC Land was exploring investment opportunities in MNC Lido City with a number of domestic and foreign investors. "For the data center, many potential investors come from Korea and the Middle East: they are interested in building a data center in Lido City," he said. Lido City will have a Techno Park, which is an integrated data and technology center that is environmentally friendly. The development of Techno Park will also include an artificial intelligence (AI) center and smart city infrastructure with green technology to minimize the risk of environmental and climate issues. The area will also utilize renewable energy, such as solar power plants, to supply its energy needs.
