Medco E&P Prepares US$76.8 Million for Alur Siwah Field

PT Medco E&P Malaka has already prepared US$76.8 million to maintain the gas production of the Alur Siwah Field in Block A, East Aceh. The Aceh Upstream Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA) stated that the project would be necessary to maintain the gas sales agreement (GSA) commitment of about 48.6 billion British thermal units per day (BBTUD) for the fertilizer industry in Aceh.

BPMA Deputy Planning Muhammad Mulyawan explained on Tuesday (9/28) that the Medco E&P Malaka project would be the second stage of development after the Alur Siwah Field started production in 2018 to "maintain the production rate at around 72 million-74 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd)."
