Total and PAG to Use Arun LNG’s Tanks
TotalEnergies (Total) is collaborating with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk and PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) to use gas infrastructure at Arun LNG Terminal Hub. Currently, the Arun refinery has four units of liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanks with a capacity of 508 thousand cubic meters or 127 thousand cubic meters each. They plan to use the tanks for domestic and international businesses. "In total, we will use two LNG tanks with a total capacity of 207,000 cubic meters," PAG President Director, Arif Widodo, stated on Tuesday (8/31).
Managing Director of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Asia Private Limited, Nic Poulteney, said that his side intended to assign vessels to carry the LNG cargoes produced in Angola, store them at Arun LNG facilities, and then send them to customers afterward. The French energy company will use Arun LNG’s gas infrastructure to store LNG supplies from various international sources as part of its global LNG market strategy. "We are also very enthusiastic about the collaboration with PAG to maximize our international portfolio strategy," he explained.
