Schneider Electric Invests in Xurya to Develop Indonesia’s Renewables
Schneider Electric Energy Access Asia announced its equity investment in Xurya Daya Indonesia, an early-stage renewable energy startup. The company managed to seal the deal with the help of two co-investors: New Energy Nexus Indonesia 1 and Crevisse Partners. It aims to develop Xurya's business as an integrated solar power provider in Indonesia.
The president of Schneider Electric Energy Access, Gilles Vermot Desroches, said that the company believed Xurya would play an important role in driving solar power adoption in the commercial sector. In a press release on Tuesday (7/13), he also said that the company embraced the opportunity to co-invest with other early-stage impact investors, such as New Energy Nexus and Crevisse Partners, in supporting a startup positively pursuing the SDG7 (Sustainable Development Goal 7).
