Competition in the video on demand (VoD) business will heat up. A source told D-Insights that Vidio would have a new investor, which will inject US$800 million.

“This new investor will bring in big funds. Reportedly, Netflix will be the new investor for Vidio," the source who familiar with the matter told D-Insights. For the record, PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk’s (Emtek) subsidiary PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) acquired Vidio from PT Mediatama Anugrah Citra (MAC) for Rp 115 billion in May 2019.
