Summary

PT Pertamina stated that the construction of the Wayame Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Terminal with a capacity of 2,000 metric tons (MT) had reached 95 percent until last June. The construction of the LPG terminal, located in Ambon, Maluku, began rolling in April 2019 and will be completed in July 2021. Pertamina's Acting SVP Corporate Communications & Investor Relations Pertamina Fajriyah Usman said the State Oil and Gas Holding is also building a jetty with a capacity of 6,500 deadweight tonnage (DWT) at the Wayame LPG Terminal. The construction of the LPG Terminal, dock, and supporting facilities requires an investment of Rp 330 billion.

Furthermore, Pertamina is also completing the construction of three other LPG terminals in Eastern Indonesia, which are the Tenau LPG Terminal in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara; Bima LPG Terminal in West Nusa Tenggara; and the Jayapura LPG Terminal in Papua. The total capacity of those four LPG terminals is 6,000 MT. "The LPG terminal construction is one of the National Strategic Projects and part of the government's assignment in the context of providing national energy as set out in Pertamina's 2021 Work Plan and Budget [RKAP]," Fajriyah wrote in a statement on Friday (7/2).
