Govt’ Prepares Regulation on Cargo Drone, How Prospectful Is It?

PT Jaya Trishindo Tbk (HELI) is pioneering the cargo drone business segment this year. HELI President Director Edwin Widjaja said that the company would develop its cargo drone business by the end of this year, around November or December.

Later, HELI will work on the logistics drone business through its subsidiary, PT Komala Indonesia, in collaboration with PT Iter Aero Industri as the cargo drone manufacturer. PT Komala Indonesia will operate the cargo drone. HELI expects the business will soar in the next few years.

"It is highly prospective because it can be an alternative for forwarder services," Edwin said. HELI allocated Rp 10 billion in capital expenditure [capex] this year. Most of the spending would be to buy 5 cargo drones and their supporting equipment.
