The PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS) business group will invest in the AeroCity project, Kertajati Airport, Majalengka, West Java, which is managed by PT Bandarudara Internasional West Java (BIJB). BIJB President Director Salahudin Rafi said that four Krakatau Steel subsidiaries had signed a memorandum of understanding to work on several parts of Aerocity, covering an area of ​​3,480 hectares. "Because it is impossible to work on it ourselves, they [Krakatau Steel] can enter several business clusters developed on this land," he said.

On April 15, 2021, four Krakatau Steel subsidiaries, PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS), PT Krakatau Daya Listrik (KDL), PT Krakatau Tirta Industri (KTI), and PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (KIEC) signed an agreement to build industries in Kertajati Airport vicinity. The collaboration also involves PT Tirta Gemah Ripah and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (BJB). Rafi said BIJB and Krakatau Steel subsidiaries are currently preparing logistics and infrastructure cluster development plan in AeroCity.
