AirAsia's Breakthrough in E-commerce Business
AirAsia launched AirAsia Beauty, e-commerce specifically dedicated to beauty services, which will operate in Indonesia and several countries in Southeast Asia. AirAsia Indonesia President Director Veranita Yosephine said Indonesia was chosen as the launch location for AirAsia Beauty because it has a huge market for beauty products and has good literacy in the digital industry.
According to Veranita, AirAsia Beauty is the first line of business outside its aviation services in Indonesia. "With a broad business scope in the Asia Pacific market, it allows us to present our favorite beauty products that have been curated," she said. AirAsia Group Chief Executive Tony Fernandes added that AirAsia Beauty is working with Teleport or AirAsia's logistics business line. "Teleport is a delivery partner for AirAsia Beauty, which promises the convenience of shopping with guaranteed safety," he said.
