Who Wants to Invest in the Bukit Algoritma Project?
The Bukit Algoritma project in Sukabumi, West Java, will start immediately after the developer of special economic zone (KEK) candidate for the digital industry secures some investments. The founder of the Innovator Movement 4.0 and the Chief Executive of the Kiniku Bintang Raya KSO, Budiman Sudjatmiko, said that the Rp 18 trillion worth of funds to develop the area would not come from the state budget but from local and foreign investors. "They will come from several countries, Europe, America. But, they ask for confidentiality," he explained.
Kiniku Bintang Raya will work on Bukit Algoritma with PT Amarta Karya’s (Persero) support. Amarta Karya is a contractor that builds road infrastructure, water installations, electricity grid, buildings, and research facilities. Budiman claimed that Bukit Algoritma might become Indonesia's 'Silicon Valley' or an area for developing industrial research and resources 4.0.
