Halodoc’s Business Sharp Turn

health technology, medical application
Summary

Health-tech platform Halodoc implements a new strategy due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Deal Street Asia recently reported that Halodoc closed Halodoc Goes to Hospital (HG2H), a business unit engaged in drug delivery services.

Sources told Deal Street Asia that HG2H services are losing money as hospitals saw lower visits due to the pandemic. Thus, the purchase of the drug from hospitals delivered by HG2H has fallen sharply. In fact, HG2H, which partners with 500 hospitals, contributes 30 percent of Halodoc's income. Following the loss, Halodoc's revenue fell by 50 percent.
