Summary

AirAsia Group will enter into the ride-hailing business in several Southeast Asian countries. According to AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes, the company decided to work on the business after its airline service revenue decreased.

For ride-hailing services, Tony said that AirAsia does not need to spend a lot of money and effort starting this business. "I learned from Grab, which has been doing this for eight years," he said. AirAsia will launch ride-hailing in Malaysia before expanding to Indonesia and Thailand.
