Ajaib Group: A New Toy for Ribbit Capital, Li Ka-Shing, and Softbank

Ajaib Group announced that it closed its Series A funding round worth US$90 million or around Rp 1.29 trillion. The investment app startup claims that the funding round is the largest in Southeast Asia's history.

Ajaib, which has only been operating for two years, raised its first Series A funding round worth US$25 million in January 2021. Fintech investor Ribbit Capital led the latest additional funding of US$65 million.

"Other investors participating in the Series A funding round were Y Combinator Continuity, ICONIQ Capital, Bangkok Bank PLC, and existing investors such as Li Ka-Shing's Horizons Ventures, Softbank Ventures Asia, Alpha JWC Ventures, and Insignia Ventures," Ajaib Group CEO Anderson Sumarli said on Monday (3/29).
