Borobudur Highland: New Opportunity for Investors

Through the Borobudur Tourism Authority Board (BOB), the government opens opportunities for investors to develop the Borobudur Highland project. Borobudur Tourism Authority Board President Director Indah Juanita said the project worth Rp 290 billion is carried out through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. "PPP financing includes road construction, drinking water, wastewater and waste management, and telecommunications and information technology," she said.

According to Indah, the Borobudur Tourism Authority Board, together with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), had performed a feasibility study for the partnership scheme and composed Outline Business Case (OBC) and Final Business Case (FBC). She said Borobudur Highland would become a resort-based integrated tourism area and a new product in the Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Area.
