COVID treatment research
Summary

The Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Makarim expects the COVID-19 vaccination for teachers to be completed by June 2021. According to him, teacher vaccination is a prerequisite for restarting face-to-face learning. "If teacher vaccination is completed by the end of June, face-to-face learning can be held in the next academic year in July," he said on Wednesday (2/24).

Nadiem said the government is trying to take quick action to restart face-to-face learning. The reason is that, in the long-term, distance learning can affect children's development. "We're taking quick action to be able to re-implement face-to-face schools," he said. Besides Jakarta, local health agency carries out vaccination for education personnel in other areas.
