PEP Asset 3’s JAS-022 Output Far Exceeds Target

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Asset 3 made quite excellent progress in the JAS-022 well drilling, which started since December 31, 2020. The well included in the Jatiasri Structure (JAS) Subang Field notched 783 barrels of oil per day (bopd) of oil and 5.28 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas, based on the production test.

The achievement was far above the initial target of the JAS-022 well, set at 293 bopd for oil and 3.29 MMscfd of gas. "The JAS-022 well has been successfully drilled with production exceeding the targets, soaring 267 percent from the target for oil and 160 percent for gas," PEP Asset 3 General Manager Wisnu Hindadari said on Wednesday (2/24).

PEP Subang Field Manager Djudjuwanto said the JAS-022 well drilling had raised optimism for a positive performance this year. "For oil production, we flow entirely to the Balongan Refinery Unit VI. Meanwhile, we distribute gas production to supply the electricity in Java and meet industrial needs in the Subang and Karawang," he said.
