Sea Group, Shopee's parent company, reportedly decided to acquire PT Bank Bumi Arta Tbk (BNBA). Since February 11, BNBA’s shares have increased to 116.84 percent. The acquisition rumors are getting stronger since the bank is currently looking for strategic partners to transform into a digital bank.

Bank Bumi Arta intends to collaborate with e-commerce, digital payment, online payment, transportation service, travel, entertainment, and financial technology (fintech) platforms. The plan was revealed in Bank Bumi Arta’s incidental public expose, taking place on Tuesday (2/23).
