With 83% Completion, Will JTB Project Finish Faster?

Summary

The Upstream Oil and Gas Business Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) reported that the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Gas Field Development Project had been 83.44 percent completed in 2020. SKK Migas Deputy for Operations Julius Wiratno said the project development could be maintained despite many obstacles, such as mobility restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "It impacted on the working hours limitation and field labor restriction, as well as the schedule for equipment fabrication brought to the site," said Julius.

Therefore, Julius said SKK Migas keeps coordinating with Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) to oversee the JTB Project continuation. The project has a fixed completion target in the fourth quarter of 2021. "Activities carried out include monitoring and coordination, both with implementer KKKS (cooperation contract contractors) and stakeholders in the regions," he said.
