The government issued Government Regulation No.22/2021 on the Implementation, Protection and Management of the Environment, as a part of 51 technical regulations of Law No.11/2020 on Job Creation. The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the derivative regulations' fundamental aspects are for convenience and certainty in licensing.

Airlangga continued, the expansion in the field of investment is in line with the Job Creation Law aims and objectives. "This will expand new job opportunities and become the government's effort to increase the national economic growth to 5.3 percent in 2021," he said on Monday (2/22). Presidential Regulation No. 22/2021 is one of the regulations on environmental protection aspects that investors must adhere to.
