Packaging Industry Becomes More Attractive to Foreign Investors
Packaging company Vishakha Polyfab is strengthening its expansion into the Indonesian market. Vishakha built a large-scale flexible packaging factory through a joint venture with Wilmar Group. This new factory in Indonesia is part of its expansion plan in the Southeast Asian market.
The packaging factory with a capacity of 13,500 metric tons began operating at the end of February this year. "This factory will produce plastic packaging [pouch] with a production capacity of up to 450 million pouches per year," says Vishakha Chairman & Managing Director Jigish Doshi, as quoted by Packaging South Asia. The pouch packaging will target the packaging market for oil, wheat, flour, and so on. Vishakha eyes on the Indonesian, Singaporean and Malaysian markets.
